Job Summary:
The Career Transition Services (CTS) Supervisor will oversee and manage the Career Placement Specialists, Business and Community Liaisons, and Work Based Learning Coordinator at the South Bronx and Brooklyn Job Corps centers. This role is crucial in ensuring the successful placement and retention of Job Corps graduates into meaningful employment or further education/training opportunities. The CTS Supervisor will develop and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, and other stakeholders to facilitate smooth transitions for students. This position is onsite with office located at the Brooklyn Job Corps Center with required weekly travel to the South Bronx Job Corps Center.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Leadership and Management:
    • Supervise and support a team of Career Placement Specialists, Business and Community Liaisons, and Work Based Learning Coordinator across both South Bronx and Brooklyn locations.
    • Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and performance evaluations to ensure team effectiveness and professional growth.
    • Develop and implement strategies to meet and exceed placement and retention goals.
  • Program Development and Implementation:
    • Ensure the delivery of high-quality career transition services, including job placement, work-based learning opportunities, and post-placement follow-up.
    • Collaborate with center staff to integrate career transition services into the overall student experience.
  • Stakeholder Engagement:
    • Build and maintain relationships with employers, community organizations, educational institutions, and other partners to create opportunities for students.
    • Coordinate with Business and Community Liaisons to identify and develop new business and community partnerships.
  • Data Management and Reporting:
    • Monitor and analyze placement and retention data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on program outcomes and team performance to senior management.
    • Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and organizational regulations and policies.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s in business administration, Human Services, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in career services, workforce development, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong understanding of the employment landscape and challenges in the South Bronx and Brooklyn areas.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient in data analysis and reporting.
  • Passion for helping young adults achieve their career goals.
Salary: $70,000-$80,000/Yearly
