Marketing Automation Manager

First Orion Corp

North Little Rock, AR

Job description

First Orion is looking for a Marketing Automation Manager to own the systems that power our marketing. Reporting to theHead ofMarketing, you'll be the operator and architect of our marketing technology stack - the person who makes HubSpot, Salesforce, GA4, Databricks, Google AdWords, and Webflow work together, and who turns the campaigns our content and creative teams design into reliable, automated, well-targeted programs.

This is a hands-on technical role. Youwon'tbe writingcopyor designing creative -that'shandled by our content and creative teams. Instead, you'llbuild the workflows, configure the triggers, manage the data and segmentation, protect deliverability, and make sure every campaign is executed flawlessly across the customer lifecycle. You'rethe person who pushes these tools to their limits, builds the integrations, finds the workarounds, and figures outwhat'spossible before anyone else asks.

You'll also be the central operational resource for any team that needs to reach our customers through our automated channels - email, RCS and outbound BDR teams - coordinating requests from Marketing, Support, and Product so every send is correctly built, targeted, timed, and compliant with consent and contact rules.

Whatyou'llbe doing:

Marketing Automation & Workflow Architecture

  • You'lldesign and build sophisticated automation in HubSpot: lead-scoring and lead-management models, lifecycle-stage progressions, behavioral triggers, nurture sequences, and internal notification flows. You own how leads are scored, qualified, routed, and handed to Sales, and you keep that logic tuned as the funnel evolves. You think in systems, not individual campaigns, andyou'realways looking for ways to automate repetitive processes and make the marketing engine smarter.

Lifecycle & Event-Driven Decisioning

  • You'llmap and instrument the customer lifecycle end to end and turn the events that fire across our websites and customer portals - form submissions, sign-ups, portal logins, product and feature usage, key page views - into automation that responds. You understand which signals matter, how they should movea contactthrough lifecycle stages, and how they should influence scoring, segmentation, routing, and the timing of outreach, so decisions are driven by real behavior rather than guesswork.

Marketing Technology Stack Management

  • You are the primary administrator and power user of HubSpot (Marketing Hub, Data Hub, and CRM).You'llmanage andoptimizeintegrations between HubSpot, Salesforce,Webflow, GA4, and Databricks - building andmaintainingconnections with APIs and webhooks - and proactivelyidentifynew tools, API connections, and creative workarounds that improve efficiency and unlock new capabilities. You do this within First Orion's implementation process and company policy: new integrations and tools are scoped, reviewed, and rolled out through our internal process, working with IT/Security so what you build is approved, documented, and maintainable. You treat the tech stack as a productyou'reconstantly improving.

Campaign Deployment & Execution

  • You'lltake the email and campaign assets created by our content and creative teams and build, configure, and deploy them end to end: setting up behavioral triggers, configuring A/B tests, managing segmentation and list hygiene, and continuously improving deliverability and performance. You own the technical build and execution - from a finished asset to a live, optimized program.

Multi-Channel Messaging (Email, SMS & RCS)

  • Beyond email, you'llbuild andoperateour RCS programs. You understand how each channel works and whereit'sstrongest, particularly RCS for richer, branded, interactive experiences (verified sender, images, buttons, and carousels) - and you pick the right channel for each use case. You'llmanage the technical setup, integrations, deliverability, and consent for these channels the same way you do for email. Given First Orion's business, you bringa real appreciationfor branded, trusted messaging and what it takes to earn and keep customer trust in these channels.

Consent, Compliance & Contact Governance

  • You'llown the rules that govern who we can contact, on which channel, and when. That means managing consent and subscription status, honoring opt-outs and preference settings, and keeping automated outreach aligned with the regulations that apply to each channel - CAN-SPAM and CASL for email, TCPA and CTIA/carrier (10DLC) requirements for SMS and RCS, and privacy rules such as GDPR and CCPA. You build compliance into the workflows themselves - suppression logic, frequency caps, quiet hours, and consent checks - so every send is defensible by design, and you partner with Legal where needed.

Data Integrity & Integrations

  • You'llkeep data flowing cleanly across the stack: managing field mapping, sync rules, and conflict resolution between HubSpot and Salesforce, and ensuring the tracking and tagging that downstream analytics depend on is correctly in place. You partner closely with the MarketingAnalystso the data behind every report is trustworthy.

Cross-Functional Communications Execution

  • You'llserve as the operational owner for any team at First Orion that needs to communicate with the customer base through our automated channels. Support and Product teams will bring you requests - product updates, service notifications, feature announcements, surveys - andyou'llensure those communications are correctly built, properly targeted, and strategically timed.

Whatyou'llneed:

  • 4-6 years of experience in marketing operations, marketing automation, or amartech-focused role

  • Deep, hands-onexpertisewith HubSpot Marketing Hub - you can build complex workflows, manage custom properties, configure leadscoringand lead management, and troubleshoot integration issues withouthand-holding

  • Experience with Salesforce CRM and managing the HubSpot-Salesforce integration (data sync, field mapping, conflict resolution)

  • Experience with API integrations, webhook configurations, or middleware tools

  • Willingness to work within company policy - scoping and rolling out any new integration or tool through First Orion's internal implementation process, partnering with IT/Security rather than working around it

  • Working knowledge ofWebflowor a similar CMS platform

  • Comfort with HTML/CSS for email-template QA and troubleshooting rendering issues

  • A solid understanding of email deliverability, segmentation, and list hygiene

  • Experience designing lead-scoring and lead-management models, and mapping behavioral events from websites and portals into lifecycle stages, routing, and automation

  • Hands-on experience with SMS (and ideally RCS) marketing - how the channels work, howthey'reprovisioned, and when to use each

  • Working knowledge of the rules governing outbound contact and consent -e.g.CAN-SPAM, TCPA, CASL, and privacy regulations like GDPR/CCPA - and how to build opt-in/opt-out and suppression logic into automation

  • A hacker mentality - you get energy from solving complex technical marketing problems with creative, scrappy solutions

  • Strong organizational and project-management skills, with the ability to balance competing priorities across multiple teams

  • Self-directed work style - youidentifywhat needs to be done and do it without waiting to be asked

Bonus Points:

  • HubSpot certifications (Marketing Software, Marketing Hub Implementation, etc.)

  • Familiarity with GA4 and with data platforms like Databricks or SQL (enough to partner well with analytics)

  • Experience with SMS/RCS platforms orCPaaSproviders (e.g., Twilio) and 10DLC / carrier registration

  • Familiarity with messaging-compliance frameworks (TCPA, CTIA, CASL) and consent-management tooling

  • Background in B2B, SaaS, or telecom/technology industries

  • Experience with A/B testing frameworks and conversion-rate optimization

  • Exposure to programmatic or account-based marketing strategies
