This person ensures completeness of architecture by adequately addressing all the pertinent concerns of its stakeholders and enterprise. Ensures integrity of architecture by connecting various views of stakeholders and reconciling concerns. Considers practicality and fitness for purpose in determining architecture to develop. Leverages business and technology knowledge to enable and/or alter business processes, practices and systems. Maintains knowledge of emerging technologies and best in class trends and practices. May take on the role of project leader for special assignments.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATION, AND/OR LICENSURE:

1. Bachelor's degree in healthcare, computer science, business, informatics or related fieldANDEight (8) years' experience performing system analysis with business, clinical or administrative applications required.

ORHigh school diploma or equivalentANDTwelve (12) years' experience performing system analysis with business, clinical or administrative applications required.

2. This position may require additional certification in support of the responsibilities of the position, which will be provided by WVUHS Information Technology. Certification completion will be required within four months of formal certification training completion.

3. Internal employees must meet all mandatory competencies in current position in order to qualify for promotion within IT.

EXPERIENCE:

1. 5 to 7 years of Workday experience.

1. Experience in a healthcare system/environment.

2. Experience with Data Integration,Application Roadmaps and/orTechnical and Workflow Architecture.

1. Provides strategic consultation to business customers in defining or designing business processes and functions, as well as in researching and internally marketing technologies based on customer capability requirements. Facilitates development of enterprise business solutions that combine knowledge of particular business processes and issues, general technology options, and processes facilitation techniques. Participates in enterprise strategy development, including environmental analysis, opportunity identification, value cases and business innovation portfolio development.

2. Specifies and designs large or complex systems, solutions, or processes. Selects appropriate design standards, methods, and tools. Reviews others' system design to ensure selection of appropriate technology, efficient use of resources and integration of multiple systems and technology. Establishes policy for selection of architecture components. Evaluates and undertakes impact analysis on major design options. Ensures that the system architecture balances functional, service quality, and systems management requirements.

3. Uses appropriate tools, including models of components and interfaces, to contribute to the development of architectures. Produces detailed component requirements and specifications and translates these into detailed solutions for implementation. Provides advice on technical aspects of system development, integration, and processes. Ensures that relevant technical and business strategies and policies are applied correctly.

4. Selects and uses tools and methods to establish and communicate the requirements of system users, their characteristics, and tasks. Identifies the technical, organizational, and physical environment in which complex products will operate. Proposes and leads improvement programs, taking responsibility for the quality and appropriateness of the work performed and the realization of measurable business benefits. Modifies and improves upon process improvement approaches.

5. Oversees the enterprise change management process for their area of responsibility to ensure processes are followed and provide recommendations/direction on requests being submitted with regard to impact across affected teams.

6. Ensures the resolution of a variety of architecture and business problems and serves as a lead for highly complex business initiatives.

7. Maintains an in-depth knowledge of technical aspects and provides expert advice regarding their collective applications and/or technical environment.

8. Provides leadership and mentoring to peers, developers, management, and business partners using technical expertise and training.

9. Demonstrates prevention techniques to avoid repeat issues and crisis situations.

10. Establishes defined criteria set to objectively evaluate complex decisions. Intervenes flexibly/creatively to improve system design and/or performance.

11. Skilled in effectively managing the most challenging relationships with and among vendors, professional peers, and other team members.

12. Reinforces the essential IT principles, policies, procedures and standards that guide their application in practical situations.

13. The position may require travel to other West Virginia United Health System (WVUHS) facilities or affiliated sites to assist with implementations, training and/or support.

14. Adhere to the established policies of the WVUHS as well as the policies of the entity or entities where the IT team member is assigned to work and/or employed.

15. Accepts on-call responsibilities and responds with action, either by phone call or on-site as defined by department policy
