Senior / Lead Workday Financials Engineer
Locations: Columbus, OH (4 Days onsite, 1 Day remote)
Type: 3 Months Contract-to-Hire
Job Description:
We are seeking a Senior / Lead Workday Financials Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and supporting Workday Financials integrations and custom solutions. This role requires deep expertise in Workday Financial Management (GL, Expense, Source-to-Pay), Workday Orchestrate, APIs, and integration development within a large enterprise environment.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, and support Workday integrations using Studio, Orchestrate, EIB, Connectors, REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Develop custom solutions and automation within Workday Extend and Financials.
  • Create and manage integrations between Workday Financials and external systems.
  • Support Finance processes including General Ledger (GL), Expense, and Source-to-Pay (S2P).
  • Lead technical solution design, mentor team members, and perform code reviews.
  • Troubleshoot complex integration and production support issues.
  • Partner with Finance IT stakeholders to optimize data flows and system performance.

Required Qualifications
  • 5+ years of hands-on Workday technical development experience.
  • Strong experience with Workday Financials, especially General Ledger (GL).
  • Expertise in Workday Orchestrate, Studio, EIB, REST/SOAP APIs, XML, JSON, and XSLT.
  • Experience designing integrations and data flows from Workday Financials to external systems.
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to work independently as a hands-on technical SME.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Workday Extend.
  • Workday certifications in Financials, Integrations, or Extend.
  • Experience in large-scale, highly integrated enterprise environments.
  • Knowledge of BIRT reporting.
