Overview:
Title: Workday Compensation Analyst
Location: Remote (Miami preferred; must align to EST hours)
Type: Contract/CTH (6 -12+ months)
Position Overview
Seeking a Workday Compensation Analyst to support and enhance compensation programs across a complex, multi-entity environment. This is a hands-on role ideal for a mid-career Workday professional with strong expertise in Core and Advanced Compensation. The analyst will partner with Compensation, HR, Payroll, and Vessel Operations teams to configure, support, and optimize Workday compensation processes, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and a seamless user experience.
Key Responsibilities
  • Configure and maintain Workday Core & Advanced Compensation (plans, eligibility rules, pay ranges, step structures, bonus/incentive programs).
  • Execute annual and off-cycle compensation cycles (merit, bonus, equity).
  • Provide production support, troubleshoot issues, and ensure data integrity across compensation workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to translate business requirements into scalable Workday solutions.
  • Support testing, audits, and reporting tied to compensation programs.
  • Enhance processes to improve manager and employee experience.
  • Focus on ship-side compensation, including union-based wage components, step progression, and automated rules.
Required Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, HR, Business Administration, or related field.
  • 3-6+ years of Workday/HRIS experience with direct Compensation module support.
  • Strong expertise in both Core Compensation and Advanced Compensation.
  • Experience supporting compensation cycles (merit/bonus planning).
  • Background in large, complex organizations with diverse pay programs.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Experience supporting unionized populations and complex pay structures (step progression, CBAs).
  • Exposure to compensation reporting, audits, and cross-functional HR/Payroll processes.
  • Workday Pro Certification preferred.
