Job description

Summary/Objective
The Bather is responsible for supporting the grooming team by bathing dogs, trimming nails, and assisting Groomers with daily salon operations. This role ensures pets are properly cleaned, handled safely, and prepared for grooming services while maintaining a clean and organized salon environment. The Bather plays an essential role in delivering a positive pet and client experience.



Essential Functions

  • Bathe dogs according to established salon procedures

  • Trim nails safely and appropriately

  • Dry dogs using proper equipment and techniques

  • Assist Groomers with preparation and handling of pets

  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bathing areas and equipment

  • Safely restrain and handle animals during bathing and grooming support

  • Monitor pets for signs of stress or discomfort and report concerns to supervisor

  • Support overall salon operations as needed

  • Perform other duties as assigned
