Job description

Clerical Assistant-Administration & Development (FWS Only), SF5CAADDVRESDV (FA26)

Student Worker Eligibility: Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester. Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above. If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived. If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Provide clerical support to COD Institutional Advancement staff.

  • Answer phones and greet guests.
  • Make copies/scan documents, sort, shred, and/or organize files.
  • Complete data entry and print/save reports.
  • Assist with various mailings.
  • Deliver and pick up materials from various locations around campus.
  • Provide support during various events.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Education:
    • THIS IS A STUDENT JOB.
    • High school diploma or equivalent.
    • Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours for Fall/Spring semester or 1 credit hour for Summer semester.
    • Cumulative GPA of 2.0 or above.
    • If a first semester student, GPA requirement is waived.
    • If a Student qualifies for Federal Work Study, the Student will be hired as a Federal Work Study employee to utilize these funds.
  • Experience:
    • Excellent phone and interpersonal skills required.
    • Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written required.
    • Ability to handle confidential material required.
    • Good typing and computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office required.
    • Previous office experience preferred.
    • Willingness and capacity to learn Raiser's Edge (fund-raising software) preferred.
  • Licenses and Certifications:
  • COD Training:
    • Compliance Training

Working Conditions:

  • EQUIPMENT AND MACHINES USED: Multi-line phones, PC (MS Office Suite 2007), Copier/Scanner, Fax, and Typewriter.
  • WORKING CONDITIONS: Regularly required to stand and walk up to 20% of time and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
  • This student position requires the following test/tests: Typing, Background Check.

Pay Rate: Student Rate 1 - $15.00 per hour
