Job Summary
The Athletics Student Assistant supports the daily operations of athletic facilities and events by assisting with event setup, game-day operations, facility preparation, and breakdown. This position helps ensure athletic venues are clean, organized, safe, and competition-ready while providing exceptional customer service to student-athletes, coaches, officials, campus partners, and fans. Student Assistants also contribute to maintaining athletic equipment and facilities, supporting a professional game-day environment, and assisting with a variety of operational needs within the Athletics Department.
Required Qualifications

• Enrolled at UWG in a minimum of 6 credit hours
• Must have and maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Excellent verbal communication skills.
• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently.
• Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail.
• Basic organizational and time management skills.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Physical Requirements/ Working Conditions

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds (or as specified by the employer).
• Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach during event setup and breakdown.
• Ability to move tables, chairs, and event equipment safely.
• Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when required.
