Job description

Office Assistant

Southern New Hampshire University is seeking student employees to fill the role of Office Assistant in the Robert Frost Building /Belknap for the School of Arts, Sciences, and Education. This role will be responsible for supporting the Dean's Office and faculty and staff with administrative and student-facing tasks, while helping to create a welcoming environment. This position offers an opportunity to gain real-world experience in the logistics of partnering with the faculty and staff on campus, and you'll join a team that supports you in your journey here at SNHU.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintaining the supply stock and helping keep the office clean and organized.
  • Central reporting person for building issues
  • Making popcorn for events
  • Supporting faculty and clubs when setting up for events
  • Directing students and visitors to rooms and offices within Robert Frost
  • Support the Dean's Suite with classroom schedule postings
  • Maintain the "faculty publications" and other locked cabinets in lobby
  • Support the Humanities Lab Opening Exhibits by preparing materials and other tasks in time for the opening.
  • Maintain the classroom supplies (markers, erasers, etc)
  • Posting class cancellation signs
  • Removing expired posters throughout the building
  • Helping maintain faculty printers
  • Other miscellaneous tasks as needed
  • Maintain coverage at the front desk

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Current enrollment in classes within a degree program at SNHU
  • Federal Work-Study as part of the financial aid package
  • Reliable
