Human Resources Student Assistant-Federal Work Study

The Human Resources Student AssistantFWSwill assist with various duties in Human Resources. Duties include assisting customers with HR service needs, answering phones, onboarding paperwork, scanning and filing personnel records, and assisting HR staff as requested.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Ability to work in organized manner.Ability to maintain confidentiality of records and information.Positive communication skills.Demonstrated ability to work as a team member and interact with customers in a positive manner.Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) or similar software programs.Accurate spelling and filing skills.High attention to detail.

Physical Demands/Working Conditions - Light work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to grasp, lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. This position requires the person to frequently move about the Human Resources office and occasionally move about theOCCCmain campus to perform the essential functions of the position. This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to visitors, administration, faculty, staff, students, and others to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations. This position frequently requires the person to operate a computer and other office equipment to perform the essential functions of the position. This position requires the person to operate equipment that frequently involves repetitive motions of hands and wrists. This position requires the person to frequently position self to work on equipment, to assist customers, and to perform the essential functions of the position. This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations. This position performs the essential functions in an indoor office setting.

Work Hours - As needed or assigned not to exceed 25 hours per week, anytime between 8:00 am and 5:00 pm, Monday โ€“ Friday.
