Department: Radiology
Reporting to the Director of Imaging Services, the Lead Radiology Technologist is a working team leader responsible for radiological care to patients of all ages and takes the lead position for a predestinated shift. They must have working knowledge of conventional Radiology and CT with the ability to take responsibility for the shift performance and quality of studies. The Lead must be able to operate all Radiology or CT equipment and process studies, and be able to precept Imaging Students during designated shifts. Assures the preparation of exam room(s), equipment, supplies and medications for patient's procedures and is responsible for patient education.
Minimum Requirements:
  • 3 years experience as a fully qualified Radiology Technologist. IV certified is preferred.

License/Certificates/Credentials:
  • Must be licensed and hold current certification in Radiological Technology by the State of California,
  • Radiological Health Section, Department of Health., must be licensed by American Registry of Radiological Technology (ARRT),
  • must obtain California Fluoroscopy permit within six months of hire.
  • Must have current BLS Certification.
