ATI Aviation is a premier FAA-certified aerospace maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company specializing in commercial and military aircraft landing gear. Our team restores critical flight components using precision machining, engineering expertise, and uncompromising quality standards. Every component we repair plays a vital role in keeping aircraft flying safely around the world.

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Precision Aerospace Machinist to join our Landing Gear Repair team. This is not a production machining position—every project presents unique repair challenges requiring craftsmanship, problem solving, and attention to detail.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Perform precision machining of aircraft landing gear components.
  • Perform precision ID and OD grinding to aerospace tolerances.
  • Operate manual lathes, Bridgeport mills, horizontal boring mills, surface grinders, and honing equipment.
  • Read engineering drawings, repair manuals, and work instructions.
  • Inspect finished work using precision measuring instruments.
  • Maintain FAA-quality workmanship and a safe, organized work area.
Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of manual machining experience preferred.
  • Extensive ID/OD grinding experience required.
  • Blueprint reading and close-tolerance machining experience.
  • Experience with chrome-plated surfaces and aerospace alloys.
  • Proficient with micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and bore gauges.
  • FAA Part 145 or aerospace experience is a plus.
  • Must provide personal machinist tools.
Why Join ATI Aviation?
  • Work on mission-critical commercial and military aircraft components.
  • Stable, growing aerospace company.
  • Competitive compensation and benefits.
  • Opportunities for overtime and career advancement.
  • Team-oriented environment focused on quality and craftsmanship.
Requirements
  • Authorized to work in the United States.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
  • Pass pre-employment and random drug/alcohol screening and background check.
ATI Aviation is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
