Job description

1 Resource Group is seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Manual Machinist to join our esteemed manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be entrusted with the operation of manual machine tools to produce precision components in accordance with stringent industry standards and technical specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Interpret and analyze engineering drawings, blueprints, and job orders to establish machining requirements and procedures.
  • Set up and operate manual machine tools including lathes, milling machines, grinders, and boring mills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Utilize precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, calipers, and dial indicators to verify dimensions and ensure product adherence to specified tolerances.
  • Perform routine maintenance on machinery to maintain optimal operational efficiency and safety standards.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of machining processes, adjustments, and inspections.
  • Adhere strictly to all safety protocols and quality assurance policies to ensure a safe and compliant working environment.
  • Collaborate effectively with engineering, quality control, and production teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements
Qualifications and Requirements:
  • A minimum of five years experience as a Manual Machinist within a precision machining or manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting complex engineering drawings and technical documentation.
  • Expertise in the operation of manual machining equipment including lathes, mills, and grinders.
  • Strong competence in the use of precision measurement tools and gauges to conduct quality inspections.
  • Solid understanding of machining processes, tooling selection, and material properties.
  • Demonstrated ability to maintain meticulous records and adhere to procedural documentation.
  • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing work of the highest caliber.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
