This opportunity is for those who are looking to enter a formal Project Management Development Program
Are you interested in pursuing a career in the field of Disaster Recovery/Emergency Management?
Are you interested in being part of a project management development program with an industry leader?
Well if so, read on.
We are an industry leader in Disaster Recovery and have established a Project Management Development Program to mentor and develop newly graduated college students to meet the ever-growing need of providing expertise to communities impacted by federally declared disasters.
The program will instruct trainees in:
  • Creating and executing project work plans according to the new FEMA Recovery process and revise, as appropriate, to meet changing needs and requirements;
  • How to proactively manage a project and execute according to a schedule and on budget;
  • Effectively manage resources to maximize productivity;
  • Monitor and report on project activities.

The trainees will also be instructed specifically in:
Public Assistance:
In these roles, the trainee will learn how to:
  • Conduct site assessments, and write damage descriptions, scopes of work to repair/replace damaged public infrastructure and develop cost estimates for the Federal funding of the projects;
  • Write Project Worksheets (PWs) for the purposes of determining project eligibility, scopes of work and estimating costs to repair or replace a facility/structure to restore it to its pre-disaster design;
  • Provide technical, cost estimating, and disaster recovery and/or management services while supporting technical professionals;
  • Interpret construction work to ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications as well as FEMA Public Assistance policy and procedure, and
  • Conduct preliminary damage assessments (PDAs) in the field with Federal, State and local officials.

The minimum qualifications for these positions are:
  • Bachelor's Degree;
  • Dependable, responsible, detail-oriented and organized;
  • Excellent verbal and writing skills;
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite;
  • Ability to work independently and with local stakeholders;
  • Willingness to deploy and temporarily work from client locations;
  • Position may require extensive travel.
