Purpose: Department office help and other duties as needed and assigned.


Job Description: The department of audiology is seeking work-study students to perform the following
tasks as assigned by the department. Your assigned scheduled hours will be based off your availability.
Tasks may include but not be limited to: You will be assigned scheduled hours based off your availability
and the duties assigned to you:


  • Scan office documents – Student must maintain HIPAA compliance and will be required to take
    the annual UKG employee training. Students must maintain HIPAA compliance as some documents
    are from our labs and have personal information.


  • Assist with administrative office duties as needed


  • Equipment Inventory


  • Teaching Assistant (as assigned by department) – Will help with audiology-specific classes and
    will perform duties as assigned by the instructor of this the course


  • Lab Assistant (as assigned by department) – Will perform weekly checks on audiology
    equipment, sterilize equipment, and ensure the labs are cleaned and stocked with supplies.


  • Student Ambassador for the Audiology Department – Will work with the audiology admissions
    committee for on-site interviews assisting with tours and interacting with applicants. and
    working with our ATSU Admissions department with tours and other university events and
    activities.


  • Lab subject as needed – Will be used as a live subject for some labs that are done a few times
    as needed throughout the academic year.


Qualifications: Audiology student in good academic standing.


Skills: Basic computer knowledge
