Job description

Automation Tester with Strong Java/Selenium - SDET
Overview:
Our solution approach is an independent Java & Selenium based app based on our POC (built with java). So, candidate should have some relevant development experience and demonstrate the ability to build a new standalone application. Most of the candidates that didn't make it in the interview were outright QA/SDETS without any hands-on development experience or failed to answer on Java development concepts.
Technical skills:
• Bachelor's degree in computer engineering OR related degree and/or practical experience
• Hands on experience in test execution and building automation suits/framework using Java
• Experience working with Selenium, Cucumber automation frameworks to automate 3-tier application validations in a batch environment
• 2+ years of experience working with Mainframe batch applications - JCL job execution, Control-M Batch scheduling, manual data validations, Cobol DB2 and Mainframe file-based application
• Experience with Distributed applications, Unix, Shell scripting and batch applications
• Proficient in data mining using SQL and creating test data based on production examples
• Experience working in high-volume applications to validate data accuracy, performance and scalability
• Proficient working with a geographically disperse team in a agile/scrum model
• Experience with CI/CD Pipelines using Bamboo/Jenkins/GitHub Actions etc. and Source code repositories like Git, Bitbucket etc. is a plus
• Strong communication skills & domain knowledge:
• Ability to engage in synergetic application and platform wide testing exercises
• Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and nontechnical audiences.
• Enthusiastic relationship builder: ability to partner multi-functionally and work efficiently with different levels and functions within an organization.
• Experienced in working/leading Geographically dispersed team that operates across time zones
• Good understanding of Financial Services, trading, brokerage industry and regulatory documents is a plus
