Deloitte's GTA operates as part of a global network of global trade professionals who help importers and exporters improve global trade compliance, pursue process efficiencies, and identify new opportunities in their global supply chains.

In an increasingly global business environment with increasingly complex businesses and operating models, our clients need to transform and enhance their global trade organizations and capabilities to not only manage compliance with import and export requirements in various countries around the globe, but also to implement effective operational management of their organization's global trade activities.

GTA technology professionals focus on implementing global trade technology solutions and/or global trade data and analytics related to trade compliance. Consultants will have the opportunity to expand their business expertise and experience, develop business acumen, and grow invaluable skills related to client service delivery. Further, consultants may have opportunities to travel to client locations around the world as part of the delivery of services.

Work you'll do

As a Tax Consultant, Global Trade Advisory on the Global Trade Advisory team, you will be responsible for supporting clients with global trade technology, automation, and trade compliance initiatives.

  • Assess and help automate international trade management procedures for US and multinational clients
  • Gather business and regulatory requirements, facilitate workshops, and perform fit-gap analyses for system design and customization needs
  • Support the planning, design, configuration, and implementation of automated import and export solutions
  • Partner with developers and client stakeholders to test solutions, document results, and address trade compliance data gaps
  • Deliver knowledge transfers and training to business, technical, and operational users on implemented global trade solutions

The team

Global Trade Advisory professionals help organizations manage import and export requirements, improve compliance processes, and enhance the effectiveness of their global trade operations. The team works across industries to support technology-enabled trade compliance, process transformation, and data-driven decision-making. Team members collaborate with clients and cross-functional Deloitte professionals to address complex global trade challenges.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in information technology, computer science, economics, engineering, mathematics, political science, international studies, supply chain, transportation/logistics, statistics, or a related field
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • Experience with data management and analysis
  • Ability to travel 80%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve.
  • Ability to start in Summer 2026
  • Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
  • Candidates must be at least 18 years of age at the time of employment.

Preferred:

  • Advanced degree in information technology, computer science, economics, engineering, mathematics, political science, international studies, supply chain, transportation/logistics, or statistics
  • Experience with US and non-US trade compliance regulations
  • Experience with SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), including SAP ECC 6.0 or SAP S/4HANA
  • Experience with Oracle or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems
  • Experience with Global Trade Management (GTM) software such as SAP GTS, Oracle GTM, Integration Point, or Amber Road
  • Experience with data analysis tools such as Alteryx, Databricks, or Jira

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs.
