Job Summary:

  • As a Tempering Furnace Operator, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining the tempering furnace equipment to ensure the efficient production of high-quality tempered glass products.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Operate and monitor tempering furnace equipment according to established procedures and safety guidelines.
  • Set up and adjust furnace parameters such as temperature, conveyor speed, and cooling rates to achieve desired glass tempering results.
  • Conduct regular inspections of the furnace and associated machinery to ensure proper functioning and identify any issues or maintenance needs.
  • Monitor glass quality throughout the tempering process, making adjustments as necessary to maintain product specifications.
  • Follow standard operating procedures for loading and unloading glass sheets onto the conveyor system.
  • Collaborate with maintenance personnel to perform routine maintenance tasks and troubleshoot equipment problems.
  • Maintain accurate production records, including batch information, downtime, and quality checks.
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and team members.
  • Other duties and tasks assigned by management
Requirements:

Required Skills/Abilities

  • Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate and troubleshoot machinery.
  • Knowledge of glass tempering processes, equipment, and quality standards.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced production environment.
