Advancement Office Work Study
Work Study Supervisor: Teri Sura-Childers
Location: Maedgen Building.
Essential Duties Summary
Perform routine clerical support for the Institutional Advancement office.
o Make copies, scan documents,and perform data entry.
o Compile presentationmaterials.
o Assist with special projects.
o Run departmental errands on campus.
o Answer telephone and greetvisitors as needed.
Serve on Student Alumni Network
executive team and assist with:
o Eventplanning and execution
o Membershiprecruitment
o Communicationand marketing creation and coordination, including print, email, and socialmedia
Required Qualifications
Applicants must be punctual and dependable.
Applicants must work 10 total hoursbetween 8:00 am and 5:00 pm Monday-Friday.
Applicants must be enrolled full-time as a McMurry
student with an award of work-study funds and complete verification by theOffice of Financial Aid.
Must be able to furnish original forms ofidentification to complete payroll documents as described in IRS Form I-9
"List of Acceptable Documents."
Minimum Required Education High School/G.E.D. Preferred Qualifications
Preferred Qualifications:
Enthusiasm about McMurry University.
Availability to work occasional weekend and /or
evening event shifts during Homecoming, Spring Alumni Weekend, or Tailgate events with the Advancement Team.
Interestin and willingness to learn new skills
Ability to multi-task and prioritizework
Quick and efficient learner
Physical Demands
Any physical demands to be detailed at interview.
Special Conditions for Eligibility
Must be able to work specified shift.
Applicant must be enrolled as a full-time McMurry student with work study funding awarded by the Office of Financial Aid.
