We are seeking a hands-on Chief Engineer for one of our elite hotels who takes great pride in their work and is prepared to take full ownership of the hotel's maintenance, appearance, and overall functionality. This pivotal role focuses on improving the property's condition, addressing ongoing maintenance needs, and ensuring that both our guests and team members enjoy a safe, comfortable, and meticulously maintained environment every day.ย 
Position Summary

The Chief Engineer is responsible for the overall maintenance, safety, and functionality of the hotel. This role leads all engineering and maintenance operations, ensuring the property is well-maintained, guest-ready, and compliant with brand standards.


Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all aspects of hotel maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance programs
  • Lead and manage the engineering/maintenance team (if applicable)
  • Ensure the building, guest rooms, and public areas are in excellent condition
  • Maintain all mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems
  • Develop and execute preventative maintenance schedules
  • Respond to and resolve maintenance requests in a timely manner
  • Manage vendor relationships and coordinate contracted services
  • Maintain compliance with safety regulations, fire codes, and brand standards
  • Track maintenance expenses and operate within budget guidelines
  • Assist with property improvement plans (PIPs) and capital projects as needed

Qualifications
  • Previous hotel maintenance or Chief Engineer experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently
  • Leadership experience and ability to manage a team
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed
  • On-call availability for emergencies
  • Reliable transportation and strong attendance
