Job Description
This posting is to establish a pool of qualified applicants. The department may not be actively recruiting. Applications submitted will remain active for up to one (1) year. San Bernardino Community College District accepts applications for Federal Work Study, hourly positions for our two college campuses (San Bernardino Valley College and Crafton Hills College) on a continuous basis. However, this does not imply the department is actively recruiting for this position. Student worker will assist in the KVCR Office
Student will assist in:
  • Under general supervision, assists in fund-raising activities, including preparing letters to mail, data entry, and special events.
  • Responds to a variety of questions from members and the general public.
  • Assists with writing correspondence and emails to donors.
  • Other office tasks as needed.
  • Desired skills: strong computer skills (Microsoft Word & Excel) and strong customer service skills.
  • Ability to follow directions in order to carry out the duties as assigned.
  • Familiarity with various equipment/tools used in the program and/or have completed some courses in the specific program or related fields.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
  • Student must possess a Federal Work-Study award letter for the current academic year.
  • Student must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 units fall and spring semester; 3 units' summer.
  • Students must maintain Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP)
  • Student must have a minimum of 2.0 GPA.
  • Student cannot fall below half-time (6+ units) during their employment under the FWS program.
  • Student must have a current TB.

Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office setting.
Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to occasionally lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight up to 25 pounds; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.
Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction; vision sufficient to read computer screens and printed documents; and to operate assigned equipment.
Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.
Employment Requirements
Flexible hours: M-F 9am-4pm, minimum 15 hours week

  • Tuberculosis (TB) risk assessment
