Genesis Technical is seeking Mid-Level I&C Engineers for Direct Hire with an engineering firm in Houston, TX. 77072
Salary Exempt plus bonus
Locals only - no relocation offered
Hybrid - 3 days ofc/2 remote

Seeking, degreed I&C Engineer(s) for Data Center Project with:

  • 5 to 10 Years experience
  • EPC experience

Required: EPC Modular Engineering design, hook ups, Instrumentation validation, P&IDS, RFQ (request for quotes), etc.
Computer Skills:

  • Microsoft Office 365 Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, SharePoint)
  • PDF Editor (Adobe, Foxit, or other equivalent)

Job description
Candidates will be reviewed based on their level of experience.
The role of Controls & Instrument Engineer is to support the Engineering Lead and Product Engineering Manager. They will be accountable for the electrical scope and systems in large scale data centers across the design, construction, assembly, testing, installation, and commissioning phases. The Controls & Instrument Engineer will be responsible for checking and approving
drawings / designs; interface communication, and ensuring the accuracy, reliability, efficiency, and safety of the electrical scope of work for Hyperscale Data Center Modules meets customer’s requirements and Industrial Standards.
The Controls & Instrument will play a critical role with supporting the plant during the manufacturing stage. They will also be assisting various stakeholders in troubleshooting site installation and commissioning problems.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Educational:

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Controls Engineering from a recognized university.
  • EIT or PE always a plus

Experience:

  •  5-10 years’ experience in controls and instrument design engineering in an engineering EPC environment
  •  Ability to produce drawings/sketches to illustrate design/ideas.
  • General knowledge and direct experience with the construction, operation, and maintenance of data center or building electrical systems.
  • Experience with high-density data centers and hyperscale environments
  • Understands the purpose of control systems for data center facility modules.
  • Knowledge of industry standards, codes, and regulations, including but not limited to

o API – American Petroleum Institute
o ASME – American Society of Mechanical Engineers
o ANSI – American National Standards Institute
o IEC – International Electrotechnical Commission
o IBC – International Building Code
o ISA – International Society of Automation
o OSHA – Occupational Safety and Health Administration
o NEC – National Electric Code
o NFPA – National Fire Protection Association
