Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Community Helping Place . Social Services Assistant will assist with a variety of tasks that relate to the clinic, the thrift store, food pantry, and administrative office.
Responsibilities
  • Office support: file paperwork, share information about community resources with clients.
  • Store: assist thrift store manager at the register or with special merchandising projects, assist customers, stock displays.
  • Clinic: answer phones, speak to patients, interact with physicians and nurses.
  • Food pantry: assist with food distribution and prepare outreach material.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8-6. Prefer the following majors: Business, Marketing, Social Work, Nursing, Mental Health

Required Qualifications
Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
