Job Summary
The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a federal work study student in the Academic Affairs department on the Blue Ridge campus. The student program assistants will help support a wide-variety of programs and activities on the UNG-Blue Ridge campus. The students will assist with the responsibilities of hosting events on campus such as the Tomato Sandwich Supper, the PEAKS program, Art Club (funded by a grant from Impact 100.) tabling sessions, and other SGA events on campus.
Responsibilities
  • The students may be responsible for helping PEAKS participants locate the proper venue for their events, assisting with project preparation/clean-up for art club, running errands to the store to purchase supplies, or assisting visitors to campus for tabling events.
  • Additionally, students will be required to help with the preparations for large events on campus such as Field Day, the tomato sandwich supper, or bocce tournaments.

Knowledge, Skills, &Abilities
  • The student workers must be able to work effectively with all types of people on the Blue Ridge campus: including students, faculty, staff, and guests to campus such as participants in our PEAKS program or Art Club.
  • We encourage applicants who like to deal with a wide-variety of situations at work. We are envisioning workers helping with a wide-variety of signature events as well as more day to day tasks.
  • We encourage applicants to apply who are able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Required Qualifications
  • Must be enrolled at the University of North Georgia in a minimum of six (6) credit hours to qualify as a student worker.
