Job description

Job Title: Architectural Engineer (Data Center Design)

Location: Pelzer, South Carolina

Job Type: Full-Time


Job Summary

We are seeking an Architectural Engineer with experience in designing data centers, telecom facilities, and modular buildings. The ideal candidate will work with cross-functional engineering teams to develop architectural designs, ensure compliance with building codes, and support projects from design through construction.

Required Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Architectural Engineering or related field
  • 2+ years of Architectural Engineering experience
  • Experience with AutoCAD and Autodesk Revit
  • Strong understanding of local, state, and national building codes
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and equipment specifications
  • Experience coordinating with structural, mechanical, and electrical engineering teams
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and project coordination skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office



Responsibilities

  • Design architectural layouts for modular data centers, telecom, and industrial facilities
  • Prepare schematic, detailed, and construction drawings
  • Ensure designs comply with applicable building codes and regulations
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams
  • Review architectural submittals and material specifications
  • Provide technical support during construction and site activities
  • Participate in factory and site acceptance testing
  • Travel occasionally to manufacturing facilities and customer sites for design reviews and quality audits

Preferred Qualifications

  • Professional Engineer (PE) License (preferred, not required)
  • Experience with data center or telecom infrastructure projects
  • Knowledge of architectural materials, fire ratings, and thermal design concepts
