Job description

Modern Technology Solutions, Inc. (MTSI) is seeking an analyst to support verification, validation, and accreditation (VV&A) activities associated with Missile Defense System (MDS) modeling and simulation (M&S). Roles and Responsibilities The candidate will be supporting MDA/SEQV Systems Verification, which has been designated the MDA M&S agent, with a particular emphasis on application of radar expertise Develop and conduct sensitivity studies to assess radar performance characteristics within the scope of MDA M&S Develop data analysis code to assess HWIL/Digital Models against their requirements and determine their suitability for stated intended uses in MDS simulations Research technical papers on models and identify data pertinent to model VV&A Collaborate with counterparts from other stakeholder agencies, such as software developers and accreditation agents, to establish adequate V&V evidence and correct modeling issues Qualifications and Education Requirements US citizenship and a secret level clearance is required BS and/or MS in Engineering, Physics, Mathematics, or Computer Science discipline and 7+ years of relevant experience Expert working knowledge of radar fundamentals; experience with environmental perturbations that affect radars, such as refraction, atmospheric absorption, scintillation, and sky noise is desirable Familiarity with MDA radar LRIDs (logical record indicators) Understanding of radar discrimination methodology, especially with respect to wideband features Experience with radar debris mitigation logic Knowledge of signal processing techniques is a plus The pay range for this position is $150,000/year to $180,000/year; however, base pay offered may vary depending on established government contract ranges, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience, and other factors.
