Job description

The primary responsibility of the Machinist will be the production of custom parts to part print specification. The operator is responsible for machine set-up, maintenance, program editing and maintaining the proper speeds & feeds. This individual must be willing to work 2nd shift, Monday through Thursday (4 days per week), for at least 5 years. In addition, all 2nd shift positions receive a $4.00 shift premium.

Roles & Responsibilities:
  • Perform machine set-up
  • Perform machinery maintenance as needed
  • Determine the most efficient processing steps to include fixturing, tooling, etc. while maintaining quality
  • Safely and efficiently transport equipment and materials
  • Additional tasks as required
Education and Experience Requirements:
  • Previous CNC machining experience required
  • Must be able to accurately read part prints a plus
  • Must exhibit a clear understanding of the metric system and proficient math skills
  • Must have experience with various cutting tools
  • Must exhibit extensive knowledge of cutting speed and feeds
General Requirements:
  • Self-motivated
  • Able to work independently and in a team setting
  • Exhibit problem solving capabilities
  • Willing to work overtime as deemed necessary by the company
  • Willing to work 1st or 2nd shift temporarily or permanently
