Job Summary

We are a Verizon Wireless retailer with stores located in NJ and we are seeking a Retail Sales Representative to sell our extensive line of phones, accessories and services. You will make use of your customer service skills and expert product knowledge in order to create the most positive and enjoyable overall experience for our customers and to maximize store profitability. This is an opportunity to make between $40,000 and $80,000 per year, along with a career path toward management. If you are an aggressive and entrepreneurial type with a passion for technology, we want to talk with you! As a Retail Sales Representative, in addition to serving customers who visit our retail outlet, you also will be expected to develop business via networking as well as through community and business outreach. You will utilize proven sales methods to prospect, qualify and close sales while building customer relationships both in person and over the telephone via regular follow-up calls.
Responsibilities and Duties

Your specific duties as a Retail Sales Representative will include:
  • Consulting with customers in order to determine their wireless service needs and recommending the appropriate Verizon Wireless products and services.
  • Meeting and exceeding all performance and sales goals/metrics on a consistent basis.
  • Creating a first-rate customer experience.
  • Identifying and acting upon opportunities to upsell additional products and services to new and existing customers in order to maximize transactions.
  • Handling all customer service issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Developing and maintaining long-term relationships with our customers.
  • Building and maintaining a prospect list.
  • Handling register receipts, including daily cashing-in/cashing-out.
  • Arranging and displaying store merchandise and maintaining a presentable-looking store
Qualifications and Skills

The successfull candidate:
  • Must have previous retail sales experience.
  • Must be able to work retail hours including weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to follow work schedules, be punctual and have reliable transportation.
  • Required to pass a background check.
