A work permit is an official document that allows a foreign national or a minor to work legally in a specific country or region. For adults, it is often required for non-citizens who want to work in a country where they do not have citizenship or permanent residency. For minors, a work permit is typically needed to ensure that young people are legally allowed to work and that their employment complies with labor laws. The requirements and application process for obtaining a work permit vary depending on the country, age, and type of job. Employers are usually required to verify that their employees have the necessary permits before hiring.
