Duties and Responsibilities
  1. Teach graduate and undergraduate courses in one or more of the following areas of social work:
  2. Social work practice with individuals, groups, and/or communities and organizations
  3. Social welfare policy
  4. Research
  5. Human behavior and the social environment
  6. Children and families
  7. Mental health
  8. Health
  9. Gerontology
  10. Substance abuse
  11. Social work history
  12. General social work practice
Minimum Qualifications
  1. To teach non-practice classes: Master's degree in social work or related field from an accredited school or university
  2. To teach practice classes: Master's degree in social work from an accredited school or university plus two years of post-master's practice experience in social work
Desirable Qualifications
  1. Teaching experience at the college level in one or more of the areas stated above
  2. At least two years of post-MSW social work related experience
  3. Work experience related to the area of teaching interest
  4. Ability or interest in teaching online courses
  5. Familiarity with multicultural issues in service provision
