Job description

SUMMARY We're seeking a Lockout/Tagout Account Manager - Outside Sales Person who thrives in industrial environments. This role requires travel to customer facilities to proactively engage in sales of our safety process. This position is based from Clinton MI, reporting from Steptron - a division of Rockford Systems LLC. This position is open to remote locations. At Rockford Systems our total compensation package includes, commissions, PTO, Paid Holidays, company bonus plan. Benefits include nationwide health insurance, dental, vision, 401K and Roth with employer match, EAP and more. This position may also be eligible for a one time sign-on bonus. RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline through outbound outreach and lead follow-up.Generate and nurture new business leads while managing leads distributed from RockfordSystems.Achieve and exceed sales milestones, contributing to growth in safeguarding and LOTObusiness lines.Conduct needs assessments and deliver tailored service proposals.Educate customers on lockout/tagout compliance requirements, industry best practices,and available support programs.Collaborate with operations and technical teams to ensure accurate service scoping andsuccessful onboarding.Track and manage sales activity using CRM software.Ensure all processes are followed from lead generation through to closing the sale.Collaborate with internal teams to ensure customer commitments are met.
REQUIREMENTS:
 2+ years of outside sales or business development experience (industrial safety or compliance
services preferred).
 Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
 Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear and concise manner.
 Proven success in a metrics-driven sales role.
 Highly organized with strong time management abilities.
 Active and professional LinkedIn presence required, with demonstrated use of the platform for
prospecting, networking, or business development.
 Proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
 Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and resilient

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS NEEDED
Proven experience in outside sales, preferably in industrial safety products, safety services,industrial automation, or related industries.Experience selling to manufacturing, industrial, energy, or utility sectorsKnowledge of OSHA 1910.147 or lockout/tagout regulations.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Prior experience in safety compliance, EH&S services, or industrial equipment sales.Experience using a CRM to manage sales activities.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS
Comfortable with travel to customer sites for meetings and plant visits (50%+).Ability to hold a passport for North America travelMust be able to pass state and federal background checks and substance abuse testing to gain access to customer worksites.Must possess a valid driver’s license and excellent driving recordMust live near a major metropolitan airport.
