• Conduct thorough evaluations to assess clients’ symptoms related to mood disorders, including frequency, intensity, and duration.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with clients that reflect their unique goals, preferences, and needs.
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic approaches, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), designed to address mood disorders effectively.
• Provide psychoeducation to clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies.
• Regularly monitor client progress and adapt treatment plans as necessary to ensure positive outcomes.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists and other healthcare providers to create a comprehensive, integrated treatment plan for clients.
• Stay informed on the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatment to enhance therapeutic efficacy.
• Maintain detailed, confidential records in compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
• Engage in ongoing professional development opportunities, including workshops and training sessions, to refine clinical skills and knowledge.

Your primary focus will be clients suffering from mood-related disorders such as depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. You will also serve vulnerable populations, including marginalized groups, individuals experiencing homelessness, refugees, and survivors of domestic violence. Your role is pivotal in helping these clients navigate their challenges and develop resilience through effective coping strategies.

• A valid and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A Master's degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a related field.
