Position Summary:


The Independent Trucking Insurance Producer is responsible for maintaining and growing an existing trucking insurance book of business while focusing on sales production. In this partnership role, the agency will provide full-service account management, allowing the producer to concentrate on sales, relationship building, and book expansion. This role is designed for experienced, licensed Property & Casualty agents seeking a scalable, service-supported agency partnership.

Responsibilities

Transition an existing trucking insurance book of business to the agency in accordance with applicable carrier and regulatory guidelines


Sell commercial trucking insurance policies to new clients nationwide


Contact and follow up with provided lead lists, including:


  • New trucking businesses requiring insurance to activate DOT numbers


  • Established trucking companies with upcoming policy expirations


Conduct needs assessments to recommend appropriate coverage solutions


Quote and bind policies using agency systems and carrier platforms


Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients


Collaborate with the agencys service team, which will handle:


  • Endorsements


  • Certificates of insurance


  • Renewal servicing and customer support (Quote/Re-Quotes)


Participate in training sessions to stay current on carrier products, underwriting guidelines, and agency procedures


Follow agency compliance, documentation, and quality standards


Requirements

Active Property & Casualty insurance license


Existing trucking insurance book of business (required)


Strong sales, negotiation, and communication skills


Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
