You will focus on architecting and optimizing backend services, cloud infrastructure, and ensuring seamless platform integration with Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures and module federation strategies. This role demands a deep understanding of platform reliability, security, and Customer Identity and Access Management (CIAM) in distributed systems. While knowledge of frontend integration is necessary, your primary focus will be the backend systems and the infrastructure that supports dynamic, secure, and scalable digital experiences.

Responsibilities

Scope and Impact:

• Architect and develop cloud-native platform solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Node.js, and container orchestration technologies like Kubernetes on AWS.

• Lead the design and optimization of platform services with a focus on Micro Frontend (MFE) architectures and module federation, ensuring modularity and scalability across distributed systems.

• Drive initiatives to ensure platform resilience and security, particularly in distributed architectures requiring strong CIAM and data protection practices.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate platform services that support secure and scalable digital experiences across web and mobile applications.

Strategic Contribution:

• Define and execute a platform engineering strategy that aligns with business goals, incorporating MFE and module federation patterns to optimize platform scalability, modularity, and performance.

• Lead the adoption of best practices in security, particularly in managing distributed systems that require robust CIAM capabilities, authentication/authorization, and data protection strategies.

• Implement strategies to monitor, secure, and optimize platform performance using advanced AWS services like EC2, ECS, Lambda, Cognito (for CIAM), and CloudWatch.

Delivery Responsibilities:

• Oversee the platform's entire engineering lifecycle, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of modular, scalable, and secure services from design through deployment.

• Implement security best practices in infrastructure and application layers, including secure API design, data encryption, and identity management through CIAM (AWS Cognito, etc.).

• Ensure platform reliability through automated monitoring, incident response, and self-healing infrastructure while integrating infrastructure as code (IaC) tools like Terraform.

Leadership Accountabilities:

• Mentor and guide platform engineers in adopting best practices in cloud infrastructure, MFEs, security, and container orchestration.

• Foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, ensuring platform resilience, performance optimization, and security are core aspects of development practices.

• Provide leadership in adopting agile methodologies, enabling teams to improve continuously while delivering secure and scalable digital experiences.

Requirements:

• 10+ years of software development experience with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, and backend systems.

• Expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and Node.js for backend and cloud services.

• Strong experience in Kubernetes, Docker, and container orchestration in cloud environments.

Advanced AWS Cloud Expertise: Extensive experience with AWS services, including EC2, ECS, S3, Lambda, Cognito, and CloudWatch for optimizing cloud infrastructure, building secure, scalable cloud solutions and implementing secure, high-performance platforms.

Security and CIAM: Deep knowledge of CIAM (Customer Identity and Access Management) systems such as AWS Cognito, with expertise in authentication, authorization, and data protection for distributed systems.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Proficiency in using Terraform or similar IaC tools for managing cloud infrastructure, promoting consistency and automation in deployments.

API Development and Microservices: Expertise in developing scalable RESTful APIs and microservices architectures, with an emphasis on security, performance, and scalability.

Performance Optimization: Experience in monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing platform performance using tools such as CloudWatch, Prometheus, and Grafana.

Automation and Reliability: Experience in building self-healing systems, automating incident detection, and response processes to ensure platform uptime and availability.

Leadership and Mentoring: Strong leadership abilities, including mentoring engineers, promoting knowledge sharing, and guiding technical discussions.

Java and Node.js Proficiency: Advanced knowledge in backend development with Java and Node.js, including experience with concurrency, performance optimization, and cloud integration.

• Kubernetes and Containerization: Expertise in Kubernetes and Docker for orchestrating containerized applications in the cloud, ensuring efficient scalability and deployment.
