What are work from home jobs for students?

Work from home students obtain remote jobs that can be performed at home or another location outside of the office. These virtual positions are often part-time or have flexible hours to allow the students to earn income and gain work experience while attending classes and managing their schoolwork. Examples of home-based opportunities available to students include social media account manager, website content writer, data entry clerk, and customer service representative. Students may only take on jobs over the summer when they are out of school or have a lighter school assignment load, while others may work during the school year.

What are the key skills and qualifications needed to thrive as a work from home student, and why are they important?

To thrive as a Work From Home Student, strong time management, self-motivation, and basic computer literacy are essential, typically supported by enrollment in an educational program. Familiarity with online learning platforms (such as Zoom, Google Classroom, or Canvas) and proficiency in using productivity tools like Microsoft Office or Google Workspace are important. Excellent communication, adaptability, and self-discipline help students engage with peers and instructors and stay focused in a remote environment. These skills and qualities are critical for managing independent study, meeting deadlines, and maximizing learning outcomes while studying remotely.

Job description

Spieldenner Financial Group is seeking independent, motivated, career-minded individuals to join our Mortgage Protection team. Our agents help American families protect their largest asset: the ability to make an income.
Our proven system provides mentorship, training, and support to help agents develop strong personal production and, for those who want more, grow into leadership, develop other agents, and build a team of their own.
We believe the best leaders learn to lead from the front. You'll start by learning the business and building your own success, with a clear opportunity to expand your impact as you grow.
Job Duties:

  • Customize Solutions: Research and present mortgage protection options based on each family's needs.
  • Meet with Families: Meet virtually or in person to help clients select and apply for coverage.
  • Develop as a Leader: As you grow in production and consistency, begin mentoring agents, building a team, and developing your leadership skills.
Qualifications:
We are looking for coachable, challenge-seeking, self-disciplined individuals with a growth mindset.
Previous sales or leadership experience isn't required. Skill set isn't everything for this position. We're looking for people willing to learn, take ownership of their results, lead by example, and eventually help others succeed alongside them.
For those with leadership goals, our model offers the opportunity to grow beyond individual production into team development and agency building.
Availability:

  • Full-time: 25-50 hours per week that can generate between $10,000 to $20,000 per month.*

If you're looking for a place to build your own success, grow as a leader, and eventually help others do the same, we invite you to apply!
*Equal opportunity, not equal outcome
No agent's success, earnings, or production results should be viewed as typical, average, or expected. Not all agents achieve the same or similar results, and no particular results are guaranteed. Your level of success will be determined by several factors, including the amount of work you put in, your ability to successfully follow and implement our training and sales system and engage with our lead system, and the insurance needs of the customers in the geographic areas in which you choose to work.
