This position is primarily remote, allowing you the flexibility to work from home while also providing outpatient services to clients. Our outpatient office is equipped with advanced technology to facilitate virtual consultations, ensuring seamless communication with clients and team members. • Provide clinical consultation to fellow clinical staff regarding mental health issues affecting various patient populations, particularly geriatric clients and individuals grappling with substance use disorders.
• Interpret and effectively communicate essential patient and family information to staff and other health providers, ensuring that social history data is accurately conveyed.
• Coordinate care planning, offer insightful recommendations, and facilitate decision-making for individual patient care plans, with a strong emphasis on the home environment and family dynamics.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans, regularly review and monitor client progress, and work collaboratively with providers to enhance therapeutic approaches.
• Maintain meticulous progress notes and documentation post-session, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and contributing to high-quality patient care.
• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss case management strategies and share insights on best practices for client treatment.
• Engage in ongoing professional development by attending training sessions and workshops to stay updated on advancements in mental health care.
• Perform other duties as assigned that align with your qualifications and the goals of our organization.

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor at El Centro Behavioral Center, you will work with a diverse array of clients including children, adults, and geriatrics facing a variety of challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and substance use. You will have the opportunity to collaborate in developing treatment strategies tailored to each individual’s unique needs, highlighting our commitment to holistic and integrative care.

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Mental Health Counseling is required.
• Possession of independent licensure as a Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to efficiently document client progress and create detailed care plans.
• Strong interpersonal skills to establish rapport and trust with clients, families, and colleagues.

• Experience working in an outpatient setting and familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• History of providing mental health services to diverse populations, including underserved communities.
• Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
