Job Summary
The Lean Six Sigma Black Belt coaches and leads cross-functional teams to improve process efficiencies and effectiveness through the implementation of Lean and Six Sigma projects. Project leadership includes collaborating throughout the business to identify opportunities, launching project teams, coaching to drive sustainable results, reporting project status and celebrating business impacts. Partners with Operations Excellence (OpEx) colleagues to deliver training and coach Six Sigma Green Belts, Lean Leaders, and Sponsors.
Essential Functions

  • Train Six Sigma Green Belt, Lean Leaders, and Sponsors
  • Coach continuous improvement methods and project leadership including sound statistical analysis in making data driven decisions throughout the business.
  • Support the OpEx deployment strategy to foster a culture of continuous improvement
  • Track Lean and Six Sigma projects with regular leadership reviews to monitor progress and results
  • Identify projects aligned with business goals
  • Coordinate coaching and training
  • Partner with all levels of the business for project identification and selection
  • Execute cross-functional Lean and/or DMAIC projects aligned to business objectives leading to improved process flow, quality and/or cost savings


Required/Preferred Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree preferably in a technical discipline, ideally Industrial Engineering required or
  • 3+ years proven experience, with significant contributions to continuous improvement activities required
  • 5+ years of professional level experience leading and coaching improvement teams required and
  • Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Lean Six Sigma Black Belt Required

  • Effectively communicate with all levels of the organization to build and maintain working relationships
  • Project management and cross-functional team leadership skills
  • Must be able to influence, negotiate, and resolve conflicts to reach consensus around common goals
  • Proven experience delivering sustainable results using statistical analysis tools, Lean and Six Sigma methods Experience with statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab)
  • Experience with process mapping, value stream mapping, measurement system analysis, capability analysis, line balancing and one-piece flow

Travel: Approximately 10-15% travel, primarily between Chelmsford and Wilmington, with occasional travel to other ACT locations worldwide as business needs require.

The annual salary for this position is:

$115,000.00 to $135,000.00
