As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist at Veterans Crisis Intervention, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough diagnostic evaluations and providing short-term psychotherapy in accordance with evidence-based practices.
• Utilizing advanced case management techniques to deliver comprehensive care tailored to each client's unique needs, ensuring effective treatment planning and psychotherapeutic interventions.
• Providing psychotherapy services for individuals, couples, families, and groups, addressing mental health and dual disorders.
• Implementing therapeutic techniques including crisis intervention, skills training, couples counseling, and brief therapy interventions as appropriate.
• Collaborating with supervising psychologists, psychiatrists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment planning, assessments, and interventions.
• Maintaining accurate clinical documentation and records of therapy sessions, progress notes, and treatment outcomes, in line with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.
• Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance treatment strategies and ensure holistic patient care.

The clients served in this role vary widely and include veterans, active military personnel, and family members experiencing anxiety, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), relationship difficulties, and other mental health challenges. Your work will have a profound impact on their ability to navigate daily life and enhance their overall quality of life.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A valid and current LMFT license or a Psy.D. to practice in Arizona.
• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in psychology, marriage and family therapy, or social work from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of two years of experience delivering psychotherapy services to clients.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems.

While the required qualifications will allow candidates to perform well in this role, the following experiences are preferred:

• Experience working with veterans or in military family contexts.
• Demonstrated expertise in evidence-based treatment modalities for mental health disorders and addictions.
• Strong communication skills for effective teamwork and client engagement.

Veterans Crisis Intervention offers a competitive salary range of USD 75,000 to 125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, we provide a generous sign-on bonus to welcome qualified candidates. Benefits include:
