As a remote role, this position allows you the flexibility to work from home while remaining a vital part of our collaborative hospice center team. In your role as an LCSW, your day-to-day responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Conducting thorough clinical assessments for patients and their families to identify mental health needs and challenges, guiding the development of nuanced treatment plans aimed at improving quality of life in hospice care.
• Delivering diverse therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other evidence-based practices tailored to each client’s specific situation and preferences.
• Maintaining precise and timely clinical documentation that adheres to HIPAA regulations and organizational standards, ensuring accountability and continuity of care.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team, comprising physicians, nurses, and other mental health professionals, to coordinate holistic care plans that address both physical and emotional needs.
• Engaging in regular case consultations to discuss care strategies and share insights that enhance treatment efficacy for our patients.
• Providing vital education to patients and their families on mental health resources, treatment options, and coping strategies, thus empowering them through their healthcare journey.
• Staying current with advancements in mental health research and methodologies, ensuring that your practice remains innovative and informed.

In this position, you will primarily work with individuals facing terminal illnesses and their families in a hospice care environment, which requires a sensitive understanding of end-of-life issues. You will help patients cope with emotional distress, grief, and loss, offering therapeutic support that respects their wishes and values. Your role is fundamental in ensuring they and their families find peace and understanding during a challenging time.

To be considered for this position, candidates must possess the following qualifications:

• A Master's degree in Social Work from an accredited institution, ensuring a strong theoretical and practical foundation.
• A valid state license to practice as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW).
• A minimum of three years of relevant clinical experience, with a strong emphasis on providing psychotherapy services in a mental health or hospice context.
• Thorough knowledge of solution-focused therapy techniques and an ability to adapt interventions to meet the unique needs of diverse patient populations.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster trust and rapport with clients and their families.
• Proficient critical thinking and problem-solving abilities to navigate complex emotional situations effectively.
• A proven ability to collaborate effectively within a multi-disciplinary clinical team.

Candidates with additional certifications in grief counseling or specialized training in palliative care will be given preference. Furthermore, experience in utilizing telehealth technology for client sessions is an asset, as it aligns with our commitment to modern therapeutic practices.
