This role leads formative research and behavioral science activities that inform communication strategies, message development, and campaign optimization. The Communications Researcher conducts environmental scans, oversees message testing, and ensures research findings are translated into evidence-based communication approaches that support federal public health initiatives.

Educational and Experience Qualifications

- Master's or PhD in Public Health, Behavioral Science, Health Communication, or related field.
- 8-12 years of experience conducting public health research and message testing.
- Demonstrated experience applying behavioral science to communication strategy development.
- Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
- Strong experience designing and implementing qualitative and quantitative research methods.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Human Subjects Research certification preferred.
