This position is fully remote, allowing our team members to work from the comfort of their homes while maintaining a structured connection to our community health clinic. Our outpatient counseling center serves a diverse clientele in Madison, Virginia, and surrounding areas, making it essential that our counselors are equipped with high levels of communication skills and adaptability. • Conduct comprehensive initial assessments and evaluations to craft personalized treatment plans tailored to individual client needs.
• Deliver evidence-based therapeutic interventions, employing modalities such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and solution-focused brief therapy.
• Facilitate therapy sessions for various formats, including individual, group, and family counseling, ensuring engagement and support throughout the therapeutic process.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team—including psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers—to provide integrated care that addresses the diverse needs of our clients.
• Maintain detailed client records and documentation, ensuring compliance with all ethical guidelines and legal standards in counseling practices.
• Engage in continued education and training opportunities, staying abreast of the latest research and trends in counseling and mental health.
• Participate in regular team meetings and case reviews, contributing insights and strategies that enhance our therapeutic approach.

Our counseling services cater to a wide range of clients, including individuals grappling with anxiety, depression, trauma, and life transitions. We serve a diverse demographic, comprising various age groups and backgrounds. As a Licensed Professional Counselor, you will be pivotal in fostering resilience and guiding clients through their unique mental health journeys.

• Master's or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Active and unrestricted licensure as a Professional Counselor (LPC) in the state of Virginia.
• A strong commitment to ethical practice, with a minimum of 2 years of experience providing counseling services, preferably in an outpatient or clinical setting.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, enabling effective interaction with clients and collaboration with colleagues.

While the mandatory qualifications ensure a solid foundation, we highly value candidates with additional expertise in specialized therapeutic approaches or populations. Experience in crisis intervention, trauma-informed care, and working with diverse cultural backgrounds will be particularly advantageous in this role.
