• Conduct thorough evaluations of clients to assess the intensity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms, utilizing standardized assessment tools as necessary.
• Collaborate with clients to design individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs and goals, incorporating evidence-based practices.
• Employ therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) in your sessions to facilitate effective treatment.
• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, treatment options, and self-care strategies to empower their recovery journey.
• Monitor and document client progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.
• Work as part of an interdisciplinary team, collaborating closely with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to provide integrated care solutions.
• Stay informed about the latest research and advancements in mood disorder treatments, continually enhancing your therapeutic skills and knowledge base.
• Maintain accurate and confidential records in accordance with ethical guidelines and legal standards.

In your role as an LMFT at Active Minds Behavioral Counseling, you will primarily work with individuals grappling with mood disorders, including but not limited to depression, anxiety, and bipolar disorder. Many of our clients come from diverse backgrounds and may face additional challenges, such as homelessness, refugee status, or experiences of domestic violence. Your expertise and compassionate approach will be vital in helping these individuals navigate their mental health challenges, providing them with the tools to achieve personal growth and stability.

• Possession of a current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT).
• A master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy or a closely related field is required.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to build trusting relationships with clients.
• Demonstrated empathy and a nonjudgmental approach to client experiences and struggles.
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities to handle diverse workloads effectively.

• Experience utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques, particularly CBT and DBT.
• Prior work in community health settings or with underserved populations is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems for efficient documentation.

• Annual salary ranging between $70,000 and $90,000, commensurate with qualifications and experience.
