Job description

Do you love dogs and working outdoors? Are you athletic and comfortable handling multiple dogs at a time? Are you reliable, trustworthy, kind, responsible, and committed? DogZenergy has been helping dog families for 19 years, and we are growing rapidly!
The big dog-walking on-demand platforms don't screen their clients and dogs! To ensure our dog walker's safety when going into people's homes and walking their dogs, the first step in becoming a client with DogZenergy is to do a meet and greet with our owner. We typically offer 3-5 hours daily, depending on demand (M-F and weekends), with a consistent route with dogs with which you can form a relationship.
We are seeking someone very professional for a part-time position who has experience working with dogs, can walk/handle at least 3 at a time, is available at least 10 - 15+ hours per week, and has an exceptional work ethic. Must be willing to walk up to 3 - 5 hours per day, must have a smartphone (iPhone/Android), a reliable car, willing to undergo a detailed background and reference check, have a clean record and no driving accidents in the last three years, including providing your current driving record, and have good dog sense.
We are looking for someone who can be committed to our team every week, long-term. The hours we offer our clients vary between 7:00 am and 6:00 pm, 7 days a week, and we also work and continue to get requests for the weekend. The starting rate is $17.75/hour + tips through the app, along with mileage reimbursement and drive time.
To apply, you must:
- Provide your driving record
- Be able to walk up to 8 - 10 miles a day
- Be able to handle/walk at least 3 dogs
- Be willing to drive to La Jolla/PB or Clairemont/Bay Ho
- Available to work weekends
- Pass a background check
- Have a car that can safely transport dogs
- Be available at least 10 -15 hours per week/weekend to start
- Be looking for long-term part-time employment (this is not a seasonal or temporary position)
