In this remote role, you will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of healthcare professionals, including physicians, nurses, and addiction specialists. While our facility primarily deals with detoxification and addiction recovery, our social work team is integral to fostering patient engagement and building a supportive sense of community amongst our patients and their families. Given the nature of our work, flexibility is crucial, with occasional on-call responsibilities required to meet patient needs effectively.

• Conduct comprehensive psychosocial assessments to identify the emotional, social, and financial needs of patients entering the detox program.
• Provide individualized and group counseling sessions, focusing on issues such as adjustment, grief, and coping strategies during recovery.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to create holistic treatment plans that incorporate both medical and psychosocial interventions, aiming for optimal patient outcomes.
• Coordinate with community organizations to ensure continuity of care post-discharge, enhancing patients' chances for sustained recovery.
• Offer education and emotional support to patients and their families about treatment options, available resources, and coping mechanisms.
• Participate actively in hospital committees, sharing insights on social work-related matters to improve overall patient care and facility processes.
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with hospital policies and legal requirements.

The primary focus of your role will be on individuals undergoing detoxification due to substance use disorders. Patients at our detox center often face significant emotional, psychological, and social challenges related to their conditions. You will be expected to create a safe space for these patients to express their needs, fears, and challenges while providing the necessary support to empower them on their journey to recovery.

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program.
• Active state licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) is mandatory.
• Proficient understanding of mental health disorders and basic medical terminology.
• Exceptional communication skills with a strong ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• At least two years of clinical experience in a healthcare or hospital setting, preferably within addiction recovery or mental health.
• Demonstrated expertise in crisis intervention techniques and experience with trauma-informed care methodologies.
