Who We're Looking For
We are looking to hire a Part-time Veterinary Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate will be a dependable, detail-oriented team player who loves pets and being part of a fun, supportive team. They will have experience rooming patients, knowledge of equipment used, drawing blood and running bloodwork, knowledge of x-rays, proper animal handling and restraint, surgical assisting experience, understanding the importance of client education, and being a positive and motivating team member.

Requirements:
  • 2+ years of recent experience in veterinary practice (required)
  • Must be able to draw blood (required)
  • Must be able to place IV catheters (required)
  • Knowledge of pharmacology & vaccine protocols (required)
  • Experience with Cornerstone Veterinary Software
  • Ability to properly restrain patients
  • Experience rooming patients (weight, history)
  • Ability to complete assigned tasks in the time allotted without direct supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to show empathy toward clients and treat animals with respect and compassion.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A commitment to outstanding client service.
  • Ability to lift objects weighing 40 pounds without assistance and objects weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance.
  • Ability to stay on task and work energetically for an entire shift.
