Job Summary

We are seeking a talented finance leader to support our Canadian Manufacturing Facililies located in Greater Montreal and the US. This individual is a key partner to manufacturing leaders to drive actionable insights and financial performance across the business. Responsibilities include, financial reporting and analysis, and regular partnering with plant operations to drive success.

This role is hybrid with 2-3 days a week on site in one of our Quebec manufacturing facilities: 

  • Eureka Lighting (an Acuity Brands company) in Montreal
  • Cyclone Lighting in Terrebonne 
  • Luminis in Pointe-Claire 
Key Tasks & Responsibilities (Essential Functions)
  • Partner with plant leadership and educate on impact of operational decisions and the impact on financial results
  • Collaborate closely with operations, sales, engineering, and procurement to ensure team synergy, a thorough understanding of the various business processes, and strong mutual support.
  • Prepare and review monthly, quarterly and annual financial statements as well as yearly financial target
  • Oversee the monthly financial close process for the plant and respond timely to ad hoc financial requests
  • Prepare and review operational key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Other tasks as required by the organization.
Skills and Minimum Experience Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required; MBA and/or CPA preferred
  • 3+ years of finance experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Proven experience building strong relationships with site leaders and influencing operational and financial decision-making
  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally up to 20% of the time
  • Must be able to work onsite at one of our Montreal manufacturing facilities 2-3 days per week
  • Bilingual French and English: To serve clients and external service providers across Canada and USA.
  • Strong financial modeling and data analysis skills
  • Demonstrated success collaborating cross-functionally with teams across the organization
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, evolving environment
