Technical Architect (Part-Time | Scaling to Full-Time)
About the Role
We are building a multi-sided digital platform, PoliticalMeetings.com, designed to connect voters directly with political entities, events, and engagement opportunities.
The platform operates on a modern architecture:
  • React frontend (user-facing platform)
  • WordPress API backend (data, workflows, and management layer)

We are seeking a Technical Architect to work directly with the Founder to ensure the platform is structured properly, scalable, and free from system-level gaps.
This is not a standard development role.
It is a systems-level position focused on architecture, logic, and execution quality.
Role Overview
The Technical Architect will:
  • translate business and product vision into clean technical structure
  • enforce system rules and validation
  • guide development to prevent breakage and rework
  • ensure the platform scales correctly
Responsibilities
System Architecture
  • Define and refine overall platform structure
  • Ensure proper interaction between:
    • React frontend
    • WordPress API backend
    • database
  • Identify and correct architectural gaps
Workflow & Validation Design
  • Implement and enforce:
    • required field validation
    • approval workflows (pending / approved / rejected)
    • user role permissions
  • Ensure:
    No incomplete data enters the system
    All workflows behave predictably
Development Oversight
  • Review code and system design decisions
  • Guide existing and future developers
  • Reduce technical debt and rework
⚙ Platform Stability & Performance
  • Ensure system consistency across:
    • user flows
    • dashboards
    • API responses
  • Support:
    • maintenance mode control
    • data integrity
    • error handling
Collaboration
  • Work directly with the Founder (who serves as Product Architect)
  • Collaborate with existing developer(s)
  • Provide clear guidance without overcomplicating
