Job Description:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced developer to join our team on a part-time basis. This role is primarily focused on WordPress and WPML (approximately 80% of the work) , with the remaining 20% involving development across Next.js, Ruby on Rails, and Express/Node.js projects. You will be responsible for maintaining and updating multiple WordPress websites in maintenance mode, and potentially contributing to additional projects built on modern JavaScript and Ruby frameworks. This is a client-facing role, so excellent communication skills are essential. 
US or Canadian citizenship and residency are a must.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform regular maintenance and updates on multiple WordPress websites
  • Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise
  • Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and provide solutions
  • Implement new features and functionality on existing websites and applications
  • Optimize website/application performance and ensure compatibility with different browsers and devices
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices 

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a WordPress developer
  • Proven experience with WPML plugin
  • Strong understanding of WordPress core, themes, and plugins
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
