Essential Job Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Prepare, process and maintain employment records related to hiring, termination, leaves, transfers, or promotions using HR management system software
  • Provides technical assistance on key HR process, procedures, and systems based on a thorough understanding of HR practices and applicable state laws
  • Exercises knowledge and understanding of Human Resources practices in a multi-state corporate environment
  • Administers and maintains the HRIS system in the area of human resources administration and compensation
  • Conducts pre-employment background checks and drug testing; oversees I-9 process and orients newly hired corporate employees
  • Maintains the strictest confidence of any and all confidential information
  • Assists the corporate HR staff in a full range of human resources administration
  • Provides consistent and effective communication with employees, supervisor and management team
  • Provides sound HR information and guidance to employees and managers
  • Provides the highest level of customer service to address employee needs and to ensure positive working relationships with the human resources team members

Skills, Education and Other Requirements:

  • Ability to communicate in both English and Spanish preferred
  • Advanced skills, knowledge and understanding of Human Resources processes, procedures, administration and management
  • Working knowledge of employment practices and total process flow
  • Competency in understanding COBRA, FLSA, ACA, ERISA, FMLA, HIPPA and HR-related state and federal regulations is required
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition and grammar
  • Must be able to meet time-sensitive deadlines and demonstrate strong organizational abilities
  • Advance knowledge of software for Microsoft Office, including Excel, Power Point, and Word
  • Knowledge of HRIS system and reporting tools
  • Minimum 1 year experience in human resources
