Reports To: School’s Main Office
Position Purpose:To effectively maintain overall operations of the schools office while the permanent secretary is absent.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma
• Typing & word processing skills of 45+ words per
minute
• Ability to relate well with students, staff,
parents, & community members
• Skill in office management & coordination desirable
• Ability to operate office machines; Ability to work extensively with computer/word processor

• Ability to handle pressure/stress and ambiguity;
ability to hold confidences
Principle Duties and Responsibilities:
Works extensively in receiving, welcoming, referring, and communicating with parents, students, staff, school district personnel, and community members. Places & receives telephone calls and maintains a schedule of appointments. Assignment vary by location. May be asked to type correspondence including reports, newsletter, memos. May be asked to maintain a regular and/or confidential filing system. Performs other duties as assigned by the principal and/or associate principal. Performs varied related office duties associated with a busy, hectic, productive, & smoothly-run environment.
